On April 24, 2025, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), a meeting took place between the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to UNESCAP, Mr. Ardasher Qodiri, and Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, United Nations Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of UNESCAP.

During the meeting, the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNESCAP were discussed, particularly in the areas of water resources and climate, glacier preservation, as well as strengthening the interaction between this body and the ministries and agencies of Tajikistan across a wide range of areas.
